Venn Installation Guide: Setting Up Your Venn Environment

Introduction

Venn is an innovative platform designed to streamline your workflow and enhance collaboration. This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing Venn on your computer, ensuring a smooth setup process for both Windows and Mac users.

Prerequisites:

• Local Chrome Browser
• Venn/Microsoft Credentials
• Google Drive (for Windows Users)

Step 1: Accessing Venn

1.      Open your local Chrome browser and navigate to pdr.venn.com

• 1.a Windows Users: Install Google Drive for local devices. Avoid sharing or moving local files with Google Drive.
• 1.b Install Google Chat standalone app
• 1.c After installing local applications, relaunch all local applications and Chrome windows.

2.      Log in using your Venn/Microsoft credentials.

Step 2: Downloading the Local Client

1.      Upon logging in, the system will prompt you to download the local client.

2.      Accept the download, and the launcher will autorun.

Step 3: Installation Process

1. The Workplace application will guide you through the Venn installation process, providing prompts for necessary permissions.

Note: Mac users need to pay close attention due to Apple product security features.

Step 4: Workplace Enclave

1.      Once the installation is complete, the application will launch into the Workplace Enclave.

2.      Here, you will find all the applications accessible within the Venn environment.

Step 5: Diagnostics Test

Launching Venn, you'll notice grayed-out applications. Venn is running diagnostics on your network and device, lasting 30 seconds to 2 minutes.

Note: During the tests, launching applications is restricted.

Step 6: Finalizing Setup

• Once applications are no longer grayed out, start by launching Google Chrome.

• Sign in to your Chrome profile and sync your data. 
• You will use your Gmail password here.

• Launch all other workflow applications after Chrome setup.
