When you leave the company, whether you resign or are being let go, there are a few steps to follow to return company devices and complete your offboarding smoothly.
1. Provide Updated Contact Information
Before your offboarding begins, please make sure HR has your current shipping address and phone number.
Contact HR directly to update your information.
2. Offboarding Email
You will receive an Offboarding Email from GroWrk.
This email starts the process of collecting any company devices assigned to you.
Check your email carefully for instructions and deadlines.
3. Returning Devices
All devices assigned to you (laptops, monitors, accessories, etc.) will be marked as Offboarding in the system.
The company will let you know which devices need to be returned.
Some devices may stay with you if the company approves it.
Tip: If your device is under warranty (for example, Dell laptops), the company will handle any claims directly with the manufacturer. You do not need to contact the manufacturer yourself.
4. How to Package Devices
Keep all original accessories (chargers, cables, etc.) with the device.
Use the original packaging if you still have it.
Label the package clearly with your name and employee ID if required.
5. Questions or Help
If you’re unsure about anything, reach out to your manager or HR.
They can guide you on what to return, shipping instructions, or any exceptions.
Thank you for helping make the offboarding process smooth. We wish you all the best in your next chapter!
