How to Enable 2-Step Verification on Google Account

This article guides users on how to enable 2-Step Verification on their Google account to improve account security.

Step 1: Access Your Google Account Security Settings

1. Go to https://myaccount.google.com/

2. In the left navigation panel, select Security & sign-in 

   

Step 2: Locate 2-Step Verification

1. Under How you sign in to Google, select 2-Step Verification 

   

Step 3: Choose a 2-Step Verification Option

1. Ensure you have at least one of the following enabled:
   • Authenticator App
   • Phone number for SMS or call verification

   • Security Key 

     

Step 4: Turn On 2-Step Verification

1. After enabling your chosen 2-Step Verification option, scroll to the bottom of the page.
2. Click Turn on 2-Step Verification

Result

Your Google account now has 2-Step Verification enabled, providing an additional layer of security for signing in.
