*for the SD: please make sure that the employee needing Google Chat is either added as a user to the Google Chat app in Venn Workplace or is a member of a Group added to the app.
Install the Google Chat standalone app.
- first check if the Google Chat app is installed on your computer.
- open a web browser OUTSIDE of Venn and go to chat.google.com
- sign in using your PDI Gmail credentials if asked
- once signed in, go to the upper right corner of the page and check if there is a download button.
- If the button instead looks similar to below, most likely you already have the Google Chat app installed.
Add Google Chat to your Launch apps.
- On the left pane of the Venn window, click on Apps
- Look for Google Chat from the list of available apps and click on the Star to add it to your Launch dashboard.
